ETHIOPIA AND DJIBOUTI SIGN SEVERAL AGREEMENTS TO RAISE THE LEVEL OF ECONOMIC PARTNERSHIP
Djibouti ( ENA + DIPLOMAT.SO) – Ethiopia and Djibouti today signed different agreements to boost ties in trade, mining, industry, transport, as well as peace and security.
The respective ministers of the two countries signed the agreement in Djibouti with the presence of Ethiopian Prime Minister HaileMariam Dessalegn and Djiboutian President Ismail Omar Guelleh.
Prime Minister HaileMariam who is in Djibouti in his first state visit in his capacity, calls the agreements “landmark” as they are expected to strengthen cooperation in various areas and enhance economic integration.
“We have come to a point where the strategic partnership between our two countries has got to a high level, in the height where the commission for joint engagement has been uplifted to heads of state and government level”, he said
This shows, according to the Prime Minister, the strength of the bilateral relationship between the two countries, which is leading to economic integration.
